There are a number of ways to design a business card. Unfortunately, most of them are simple, boring or have been done before a million times. These are not the designs that are going to get you and your business noticed. But with today's technology, and a bit of inspiration, a unique business card is easily achieved. Let's take a look at some of the different business card ideas being used currently to stand out from the crowd. First would be the use of fancy graphics implemented into the card design. This can be an effective strategy if you are a talented artist. If not, enlisting the services of a professional graphic designer is probably your best bet. Then we have the card itself to consider. Using materials other than standard paper card stock is another great way to differentiate your cards from everyone else's. Some of the examples that I have seen are wood, plastics, silk, cardboard and Mylar. The trick is to get creative and produce something that no one has ever seen. One gentleman that I met with a lawn and garden business had a business card with tiny seeds engrained in the paper. When the waterproof card was moistened, the seeds sprouted and created raised lettering that spelled out his company's name. Another man with a used car lot had a card with tabs and creases which when folded, took the shape of a car. With a little creativity, you too can design a great business card.
